Hi! My Name’s Aidan

I’m a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP), professional physique athlete, online coach, and graduate student in nutrition and dietetics at the University of British Columbia. I help people build sustainable strategies for performance, health, and lifestyle change. Whether you're managing a health condition, working toward athletic goals, or simply trying to improve, I offer honest, science-backed coaching that meets you where you are.

My Journey

Although this passion never left, my love for fitness came later in life - as a young man pursuing an atheltic passion for natural bodybuilding. This led me to the kinesiology program at the University of Waterloo, where I found a home for my scientific curiosity and athletic ambitions. At the university, I cofounded the UWStrength Club for athlete’s in weightlifting, powerlifting, and bodybuilding. Our goal was to build a community for those pursuing fitness-related goals to advocate for safe and inclusive athletics. This earned me the Strength and Condiditoning Leadership Award. I also worked as a personal trainer to fund my education, earning my CanFitPro PTS certification.

My fascination with human physiology has been around for about as long as I can remember! After experiencing kidney failure as a young child and spending months at SickKids hospital in Toronto - I decided I wanted to grow up to help others with their health (or be a superhero).

Through these years of conversations and coaching experiences, I realized something was missing: nutrition. I began to understand how critical and challenging nutrition was - not just for performance or aesthetics, but as a supportive tool for all aspects of health across the lifespan. That realization changed everything.

So, alongside pursuing my own competitive goals, I set my sights on becoming a dietitian. I applied to the only graduate program in Canada that would give me the credentials to practice: the University of British Columbia. While waiting, I spent a full year training clients in-person and online, growing my practice, and expanding my own fitness experience through more bodybuilding and endurance events. That time deepened my appreciation for how exercise, behavior, and lifestyle interact in real life, not just in textbooks.

But my path hasn’t been linear. After discovering that the years of intense demands of bodybuilding competitive prep were taking a toll on my kidney health, I had to step back. It was a tough decision, but it clarified my mission: to help others build a version of health that allows them to chase ambitious goals, and respect their body without punishing it.

This clarity came with the beginning of a new chapter, my admission to The University of British Columbia. I packed the good ol’ ‘09 civic and left Ontario for the first time, driving across Canada to pursue a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. My goal: to help bridge the gap between fitness and healthcare with integrity and empathy.

Since moving, I’ve earned my certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the Candian Society of Exercise Physiology, achieved my goal of professional status as a physique athlete, and made a lot of great friends along the way. But my mission has not changed: Provide as many people as I can with inclusive, effective, and science-backed guidance on fitness and health.
